FREE 30-DAY VISA ON ARRIVAL FOR ALL NATIONALTIES VISITING THE MALDIVES
Tourist visa is issued to a visiting foreign national, who does not have the intention for employment. A foreign national visiting the Maldives on tourist visa will get 30 days from the date of entry. Visitors are required produce the following documents upon arrival in order to obtain a Tourist Visa.
- A passport/travel document that is valid for the duration of the stay
- A valid ticket to continue your journey out of the Maldives within the stipulated time frame
- Enough funds to cover the cost of your stay in Maldives. (US$100 + US$50 per day) or a confirmation of reservation in a Tourist Resort or a Hotel
A full thirty day visa is not a right of the passenger to claim, but lies at the discretion of the Immigration to issue not more than thirty days and any period less than thirty days.
Maldives authorities require that your passport/travel document be valid for the duration of your stay in the Maldives. However, do check the required validity of your passport from the airlines you are travelling with, as they may have a regulation that may not allow you to travel if your passport validity is less than 6 months.
