The Embassy of Maldives in Singapore hosted an eventful celebration for the Maldivian community in Singapore on the joyful occasion of the Republic Day, on 17 November 2019.
The event included games such as garlando, pool, dart, karaoke and video games that were immensely enjoyed by the enthusiastic Maldivians of all ages.
There was a cake cutting ceremony by the younger ones, and a lucky draw. Prizes for the lucky draw winners were given by Madam Hafsa Hilmy – one of the most senior and respected member of the Maldivian community residing in Singapore. Ambassador Dr. Abdulla Mausoom handed out further prizes for the winners.
It was a very successful event enjoyed by the large number of Maldivians in Singapore, and a great way to meet one another, and get to know each other. The Embassy looks forward to hosting many more events for the wonderful Maldivian community in Singapore.
